Salon Policies

1. Appointment Bookings

  • Booking Deposit: A 50% deposit is required to secure all appointments scheduled online. This deposit is non-refundable but can be transferred to a rescheduled appointment if 48 hours' notice is given.

  • Online Bookings: Clients can book appointments through our website or by calling the salon. A confirmation message will be sent once your appointment is confirmed.

2. Cancellation Policy

  • We require a minimum of 48 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations within 48 hours will result in the loss of the booking deposit.

  • No-shows: Failure to attend an appointment without notice will result in the full service charge being applied.

3. Late Arrivals

  • We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise. If you are running late, please call ahead.

  • Arrivals more than 15 minutes late may need to be rescheduled or your service adjusted to suit the available time. A cancellation fee may apply. An automated SMS will be sent to your mobile number 15 minutes after your scheduled appointment time advising your missed appointment.

4. Refunds and Adjustments

  • Satisfaction Guarantee: If you are unsatisfied with your service, please contact us within 5 days. We are committed to making reasonable adjustments to ensure your satisfaction.

  • Products: Unopened retail products may be exchanged within 5 days of purchase. Used products cannot be returned for hygiene reasons.

  • To uphold our high standards of service - we do not provide refunds or exchanges for change of mind.

5. Hair Extensions Policy

  • Consultation: All hair extension services require a consultation to assess your hair and discuss desired outcomes prior to scheduling.

  • Maintenance: Clients are responsible for following the recommended maintenance schedule. Failure to do so may affect the longevity and quality of your extensions.

6. Children’s Policy

  • We love kids, but for safety and the comfort of all clients, children are welcome in the salon only if they have an appointment or with supervision of an adult.

7. Health and Safety

  • Allergies and Sensitivities: Please inform your stylist of any allergies or sensitivities before your appointment. Patch tests are available and recommended for certain treatments.

  • Illness: If you are feeling unwell, please reschedule your appointment for the safety of our staff and other clients.

8. Payments

  • We accept cash, debit/credit cards, and digital payments. AfterPay and ZipPay are also accepted with a minimum purchase amount of $200.

9. Personal Belongings

  • BLK Hair Studio is not responsible for any lost or damaged personal items. Please keep valuables with you at all times.

​

10. Behavior Expectations

  • We strive to create a welcoming and professional environment. Abusive, disrespectful, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and may result in refusal of service.

11. Photography and Social Media

  • We may take before-and-after photos of your hair for marketing and record keeping purposes. Please let us know if you prefer not to have your photos taken or shared.
